Meet Our Team

Peter McGhee, PH.D.
President, Director of Research and Development
Peter joined Pacific Biocontrol in 2018, with 21 years of education and 24 years of field experience with expertise in pheromone mating disruption. He possesses a B.S. in Biology, and a M.S. and a Ph.D. in Entomology. In addition to being President he is our Midwest Representative.

Matthew Desmond
Controller
Matt joined Pacific Biocontrol as Controller in 2022 and has a background in public accounting in internal and external auditing. He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the state of Oregon and holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Oregon.

Chris Hedstrom
Research & development scientist
Chris joined Pacific Biocontrol in 2023. He earned his B.S and M.S. degrees in Entomology, focusing on integrated pest management in hazelnuts. He has 10 years of professional experience in IPM communications, biological control research, and invasive species response programs with public agencies and universities.

JEANNINE LOWRIMORE

Jeannine was hired in 2014 and has 15 years of experience with tree crop management and codling moth mating disruption. She has a B.S. in Entomology and maintains her PCA license. She previously worked for the UCCE San Joaquin Farm Advisor’s office.

JOE DEVENCENZI
TECHNICAL SALES REPRESENTATIVE FOR CENTRAL & SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA
Joe has worked for Pacific Biocontrol since 2020. He has worked in the field with 12 years of experience in fruit and nut production in addition to Wine Grapes. He has a B.S. in Agricultural Business with a concentration in Sustainable Agriculture.
