COMPANY PROFILE
Pacific Biocontrol Corporation (PBC) is a US company with corporate headquarters in Vancouver, Washington. PBC was established in 1985 and sells its products through independent agricultural chemical distributors and dealers all over the world. PBC’s mission is to increase the use of its mating disruption formulations by increasing efficacy and decreasing costs to the grower. This is accomplished through formulation improvement and a gradual decrease in pest pressure. Towards this goal, PBC provides market, sales, and technical support to distributors, dealers, and growers.

PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT
In addition to registered products, PBC has several formulations under development. PBC cooperates with a leading university, government, and corporate researchers in the development of new formulations. Data are used to design new or improved formulations and to promote the effective use of existing products.

MARKET DEVELOPMENT
Product promotion through participation and presentations at grower and trade show meetings. Close contact with influential pest control advisors. Product advertisement in trade journals and direct mailings.

SALES SUPPORT
Sales programs for distributors and dealers designed to increase sales while providing the best technical support and effective use of pheromone products.

TECHNICAL SUPPORT
PBC staff is composed predominantly of technically trained and experienced entomologists. Close contact is maintained throughout the year with the dealer’s technical representatives and pest control advisors. PBC routinely monitors the quality and performance of its formulations during the season by dispenser analyses and bioassay. PBC participates in technology demonstrations conducted by university and government researchers. We support the use of mating disruption in various IPM area-wide programs.

Don Thomson

President, General Manger, Director of Research and Development

Don has been with PBC since 1991 and in pheromone research for 29 years. He has an MS degree in entomology and 35 years of field experience. In addition to being President and General Manager, he directs the research and development programs of PBC. He is your Midwest state representative.

Nancy Hays

Controller, Corporate Officer

Nancy has been with Pacific Biocontrol since 1994. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Accounting. She is a Certified Public Accountant and serves as the Corporate Secretary and Treasurer.

Peter McGhee, PH.D.

Project Manager, Research Coordinator, & Sales Supervisor

Peter joined Pacific Biocontrol in 2018, with 21 years of education and 24 years of field experience with expertise in pheromone mating disruption. He possesses a B.S. in Biology, and a M.S. and a Ph.D. in Entomology.

Christeen has an extensive background in research and development of insect mating disruption products on many crops but has primarily focused on stone fruits, almonds, pistachios, grapes and citrus. She has 18 years of education and 38 years of ag experience and has been involved with insect pheromones since 2003. She has a BS from UC Davis and an MS from Fresno State.

Tina Phelps

Tina joined Pacific Biocontrol in 2015. She manages the company’s data management system, supports Directors and Sales Staff and is our Customer Service Representative.

Joe is our newest addition being hired in 2020. He has worked in the field with 12 years of experience in fruit and nut production in addition to Wine Grapes. He has a B.S in Agricultural Business with a concentration in Sustainable Agriculture.

Kathy Bolan

Kathy has been with Pacific Biocontrol since 1991. She is an independent regulatory consultant responsible for the registration and compliance of Pacific Biocontrol’s products.
